If you are a participant of The Health Care Plan for CN Pensioners,
you have select protection designed to provide you and your family
with financial assistance for medically required health care expenses
not covered by your provincial hospital and Medicare plans.

This protection supplements our BC government plan and is designed
and priced based on the programs and benefits provided in our BC
Medical services plan. the new booklet issued January 1  provides 
and outline of most of the major features of our insurance contract
# 93115 issued by Blue Cross Plan.

Depending on the plan you have selected, certain deductibles and limitations will apply. Healthcare Costs continue to rise across Canada which affects the Health Care Delivery System, access to care, and federal and provincial funding. Close to 80% of the cost of our plan goes to cover prescription drugs.  To help reduce your costs and our premiums, utilize your direct pay card, ask your doctor or pharmacist about generic substitution and look at your pharmacy dispensing fees. Your pensioners health care committee works with blue cross to manage our plan.
